Before the "work week" started in early June, the participants enjoyed a team-building rafting trip. A great way to start the week! And, it doesn't hurt that Greg and his team won the challenge. :)
At the end of the week, the participants were treated to a Cirque du Soleil show, Alegria. Greg said it was a great show and a nice way to spend time together outside the stress of the classroom.
Saying goodbye to the Moscow airport at the end of module 4.
On this most recent trip in July, Greg was able to venture out with a friend, Corne from South Africa, to see more of Moscow. First stop was the World War II Great Patriotic War Memorial and Museum.
This building is one of "The Seven Sisters", a group of seven skyscrapers designed in the Stalinist style built from 1947 to 1953. These buildings combine the Russian Baroque and Gothic styles, along with the technology used in building American skyscrapers.
The Russian White House, a government building constructed from 1965 to 1981, that houses the Russian government.
Greg and Corne were able to take a day cruise on the Moskva River before classes started on Monday.
On Friday night, once classes were finished, Greg and his group enjoyed a meal at a Ukrainian restaurant. Good food and good drink!
One more night to spend in Moscow, so Greg took some guys from the US on the boat cruise, but this time in the evening. Can you see the people sitting and walking on the top of the bridge? Crazy!
OK, this one time, McDonalds is allowed...
Finally, here are some photos of the entire group. Greg is in there somewhere, I promise. Just one more trip to go in September...almost a graduate, hurray!
