Sleepin' with the Hippos

On March 14, Greg and Ben joined his Beaver Scouts group and spent the night at Calgary Zoo in the African Savannah.  In the evening, the kids made masks, put on a play, and enjoyed rice krispie treats.  Finally, everyone settled down for the night.  Greg and Ben camped near the hippos and porcupines, but Greg didn't get much sleep...apparently hippos snore!  Ha!  In the morning, they ate breakfast and took an educational tour through the Amazon Rainforest, then packed up and headed for home.  Ben was so excited to tell Mom and Nathalie all about his sleepover with the animals!
