Happy New Year's!! Wow, 2013 just flew by! We had so many wonderful experiences in Calgary and beyond, and we are truly grateful! What better way to begin the New Year's Eve festivities than dancing! We are still enjoying Christmas tunes here...so jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!
Later that night, we headed to "Zoo Lights" at the Calgary Zoo. We had tickets for their special New Year's Eve celebration with a fireworks show around 8 p.m. What a fun time! There was music playing, so many lights to look at, and warming spots where they were handing out candy! :) It started snowing about an hour before the fireworks started which made for a pretty way to ring in the new year.
Nothing says "Happy 2014" like a plateful of poffertjes! Mmmmm...little Dutch pancakes coated in butter and sugar. I guess those New Year's resolutions will have to start tomorrow instead... :)
