School finished up for the year on Thursday, December 19th for both kids. While we were sad that we couldn't hop in the car and visit family for Christmas, it was nice to spend time together and try some new things. In fact, on December 21, we got Nathalie on skis for the very first time! Is she not the cutest little skier ever? And, she was so excited, which really surprised me because she can be a bit cautious when it comes to trying new things. Daddy scooted her around in the snow so she could get used to the feeling. She wasn't too sure about going down any hills just yet, but we figured we had made a lot of progress by just getting her in the gear! It was also my first time on skis for the season...a bit out of practice, but feeling much more confident than last year. Looks like the Zabikow gals will be catching up to the Zabikow boys in no time! :)
That's the sort of photo that will insert itself nicely into a Olympic montage someday in the future :-)
