After our time in Kelowna, we settled back into routine...work, school, activities. The city was still recovering from the storm we had...branches were everywhere!
Wednesday, September 24 was the Terry Fox Run at Ben's school. Ben loved that Maw Maw and Paw Paw were there to cheer him on!
On Thursday, we enjoyed some play time and lunch at the Farmer's Market. Thursday evening was Ben's first ice skating lesson. I think it's "against the law" to live in Canada and not learn how to skate, so we figured it was time to start. Ben did really well, and now Nathalie wants on the ice too. My little Canadians...
On Sunday, we drove to Drumheller for a visit to the dinosaur museum and the hoodoos. Dad and Sherry really enjoyed the museum and were quite impressed by the exhibits and information.
From the museum, we drove to the hoodoos. Ben was quite a climber this year, giving his mama (and grandparents) a bit of a scare. And, I couldn't believe that Nathalie fell asleep again - just like last year. Apparently, it's just not in the cards for her to get up close and personal with a hoodoo.
Greg had the day off on Monday the 29th, so he drove Dad and Sherry to Canmore to visit the Ammolite Factory. A nice little tour, followed by some lunch. Sherry got a lovely ammolite pendant, and Greg surprised me with some earrings for our anniversary. Gorgeous!
Tuesday, September 30th...time to say goodbye. :( We sent Greg off to work and Ben off to school. After Nathalie's dance class that morning, we packed up the car and headed to the airport. It's always so hard saying goodbye, but we have so many new memories to treasure from this visit. We love you, Maw Maw & Paw Paw, and we miss you already!!
